Volvo C30 BEV electric car in the test


The Swedish car manufacturer Volvo has introduced the Volvo C30 BEV his first electric car and is currently being tested. There are several prototypes of environmentally friendly vehicle on the road and have a range of up to 150 kilometers. In the coming year will be first field tests. The power is supplied by a lithium-ion battery with 24 kilowatts of power. Already in three years, Volvo claims to be the first plug-in hybrid car on the market.


The maximum speed of the Volvo C30 BEV is 130 km / h and can go from 0 to 100 km / h in just 10.5 seconds. The launch of the electric car will be in five years and the purchase price amount to well over 35,000 €, cost alone because the batteries and electric drive around 25,000 €. The range of the Volvo C30 is sufficient BEV with 150 kilometers, because driving a majority of motorists each day only about 50 to 150 kilometers. What will it cost electric car to market is not yet known.
